i Learn With the Mighty Jungle: Animals !  – This is advertised as an app for the kids to learn about Jungle animals and their properties (such as size, skin typeetc..). The goal is to identify the animal based on the clues given by the narrator.  The graphics and voice narrations are very good. So, it does pretty good job at it.  It also does more, that is what I want to talk about here. The app can be used if you have IEP goals for ‘following directions’ and ‘Auditory Processing’.IEP Goals/Skills Covered: First words, Environmental Sounds, Following Directions, Comprehension

The app will display 4 pictures first and then ask the user to narrow it down to 3-2 and then to the correct answer. Kid should know some of the attributes to answer teh question such which lives in water. But there are plenty of clues on the screen to answer it (you can see 3 animals in water).  It is not so hard yet very useful ‘following directions’ and ‘auditory processing skills. While you are at it, it will also teach the skills that are advertised.  I didn’t see any following directions apps so far. So this can be used for it.Developer Notes Read more…
